At the heart of Romagna, on the hillsides of the Apennines marking the border between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany, you will encounter the incomparably charming medieval town of Brisighella, member of the “I Borghi più belli d'Italia” ("Most Beautiful Villages in Italy") Club. A maze of alleys and small squares dating back to the 1200s, surmounted by three famous landmarks perched on tall rocky outcrops: one is the Rocca Manfrediana fortress (14th century), the second is the Monticino sanctuary (18th century) and the last one is the clock tower, re-built in the 1800s on the ruins of an old defensive settlement going back to the 12th century.
Brisighella Green Wellness
A renovated old stone farmhouse, located in a secluded spot and surrounded by ancient olive trees, at the edge of the Parco Regionale della Vena del Gesso Romagnola (Regional Park of Romagna's Gypsum Vein), the largest gypsum outcrop in Europe: Brisighella Green Wellness is the ideal place for those who want to enjoy nature and allow themselves to feel pampered by Romagna's renowned hospitality. It is also an excellent starting point for those who wish to explore the surrounding area. It is located halfway between the cities of Ravenna and Florence, two world-famous treasure troves of history, art and culture, and at a 50-km distance from the Riviera Romagnola, the place to be for those interested in the legendary nightlife of the Riviera.
